Judgment information is obtained through the courts. Creditors report a judgment as being paid by filing a 'Notice of Satisfaction' with the court. Occasionally creditors will neglect to file the 'Notice of Satisfaction' which causes the judgment status to remain as unpaid. When this happens, we will ask our credit reporting agency to update the status on the credit report when you provide us with a copy of receipt showing the judgment is satisfied. But this won't permanently fix the omission. In order for your credit record to be updated by the national credit bureau for your future reference, the creditor must file a 'Notice of Satisfaction' with the court.
