National credit bureaus access their credit information databases by using consumer's social security numbers, names, and addresses. Similar names, common names, and alias names can be mixed during the accessing of credit information of a particular consumer can cause two different credit files to be merged into one credit report. The credit information sometimes is mixed when the names include the designation of Jr. or Sr. Running a RMCR will verify and remove the wrong credit information to provide a reliable credit report. Again, you, the consumer, must also send the corrected information to all national repositories, so they can update their credit files database.
